Creative Engineering Redesign:
This project was to redo a previous project but better! My group and I did our project on wasted foods and how it impacts the world. The goal of this assignment was to identify a world problem and develop a plan or solution to fix this issue. We decided t focus on wasted food due to its color, shape, size, and being too old.
Creative Design
1. Identify the need: Preservation of fruits and vegetables.
2. Research the problem: We collected research over the course of two weeks.
3. Develop a solution: 50% water 50% vinegar, 100% water, 100% vinegar
4. Select the most promising solution: 100% vinegar
5. Construct a prototype: vinegar soaked vegetable and fruit
6. Test and evaluate prototype: 5 day experiment
7. Communicate the design: We gave a presentation to our class.
8. Redesign: Redo procedure to insure we have created a sound solution to delay the mold or rot of fruits and vegetables.
9. Repeat: repeat all steps above

Variables:
Independent: A variable that doesn't depend on others
Dependent: A variable that depends on others
Controlled: Variables that remain constant as to not change the data

Reflection:
I enjoyed this project very much and had a great time working with my classmates. Some of our peaks were we worked very well together and were able to finish our project before the deadline. Some areas where I could have improved were staying on task and and trying to improve my efficiency levels. In the future I will remain on topic and find helpful things to do for my group and project.Overall, I really enjoyed this project and look forward to my future years in STEM
