The Unicar
By: Olivia Matheson, Marilynn Hunt, Eliza Roesler and Ashley Smith
The unicar is a small model of an alternate energy vehicle, created by my classmates and I. This project was created over a period of two weeks. Our goal was to create a model of a car that is eco-friendly and does not rely on gas or batteries.

Concepts of Physics:
Spring Constant (K): The rate at which a spring can compress or expand. K=1/2mv^2
We used this equation to help find the potential energy of the car.
Potential Energy (PEspring): The amount of energy stored in a spring. PE=1/2kx^2
We used this equation to calculate the amount of energy our car would start with.
Kinetic Energy (KE):The amount of energy caused by motion. KE=1/2mv^2
We used this equation to find the rate at which the car travels.
Thermal Energy: Energy from heat, caused by friction.
We used this to find how friction affects the speed and distance of the car.
